Fish

A fish is a vertebrate animal usually aquatic ectothermic (or cold-blooded), covered with scales, and equipped with two sets of paired fins and several unpaired fins. Fish is abundant in fresh and salt water, with species known from mountain streams (eg, trout and gudgeon) as well as deep ocean (eg gulpers and anglerfish).

Food prepared with fish is also known as fish, and is an important food source for humans. They are harvested from wild fisheries (see fishing) or farmed in the same way as cattle or chickens (see aquaculture). They are also used by anglers and fans, and are exhibited in public aquaria. The fish had a role in many cultures throughout time, gods and religious symbols on the subject of books and popular movies.
