Cattle

Livestock (cows colloquially) is the most common type of large ungulates. They are modern prominent member of the subfamily of cattle, are the most common species of the genus Bos, and are usually classified collectively Bos primigenius. Livestock rearing as beef cattle (beef) and dairy cattle for milk and other dairy products, and as draft animals (pulling carts, plows, etc.). Other products include leather and manure, manure or fuel. In some countries, like India, cattle are sacred. There are an estimated 1.3 million cows in the world today. In 2009, cattle became the first livestock animal whose genome is mapped.
